According to sources, Sheikh Hasina and her younger sister Sheikh Rehana have gone to a safe place. Sheikh Hasina wanted to record a speech before leaving. He didn’t get that chance.
Meanwhile, Chief of Army Staff General Waqar-uz-Zaman sat in a meeting with top political leaders of the country at the army headquarters at noon.
Jatiya Party senior co-chairman Anisul Islam Mahmud and party secretary general Mujibul Haque Chunnu and Dhaka University law department professor Asif Nazrul participated in the meeting.
