Iran has warned its citizens that the country’s northern regions could face a fuel shortage during the upcoming winter season, as the country’s energy production capacity has been severely damaged by the barbaric attacks by the United States and Israel.

Tehran government spokeswoman Fatemeh Mohajerani gave this information, citing the country’s state-run news agency IRIN.

He said that Iran’s production capacity has been damaged by the attacks on the energy sector, with about 230 million cubic meters of that capacity currently being restored.

Mohajerani said the government has been dealing with a shortage of fuel supply since it took office. With the help of the public, it has been able to somehow manage the last few winters and summers.

However, he said the situation has become more difficult due to recent US-Israeli attacks.

The Iranian government spokesman said that based on the situation last year, there is a risk of problems in the country’s northern provinces this time. The Interior Ministry has already warned the governors about this and various measures have been taken to keep people’s daily lives normal.

Mohajerani said that through the Supreme Energy Council, the government will try to ensure energy supply to residential customers while keeping industrial activities running.

He expressed hope that through the necessary measures, Iran will be able to get through the upcoming winter with as few power outages and problems as possible.
