Supradeep Chakma, Farooq-e-Azam and Bidhan Ranjan Roy
Dr. 13 of the 16 advisers of the interim government formed under the leadership of Muhammad Yunus were sworn in. However, the three newly appointed advisors could not come to the swearing-in ceremony as they were staying outside Dhaka.
This information was given by Cabinet Secretary Md. Bangabhaban on Thursday night (8 August). Mahbub Hossain.
Advisors who did not participate in the swearing-in ceremony are – Farooq-e-Azam (Bir Prateek), Supradeep Chakma, Bidhan Ranjan Roy.
On the other hand, others who took oath in the advisory position are – Economist and former governor of Bangladesh Bank. Saleh Uddin Ahmed, Brigadier General (retd.) M Sakhawat Hossain, Professor of Law Department of Dhaka University. Asif Nazrul, human rights activist Adilur Rahman Khan, former caretaker government advisor Hasan Arif, former foreign secretary Touhid Hossain, environmental lawyer Syeda Rizwana Hasan, one of the coordinators of anti-discrimination student movement. Nahid Islam, another coordinator Asif Mahmud Sajeeb Bhuiyan, Farida Akhtar, AFM Khalid Hasan, Nurjahan Begum and Sharmin Murshid.
