Own Correspondent: Hon’ble Prime Minister and Awami League President Sheikh Hasina has paid tribute to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on the occasion of the historic Mujibnagar Day.
On Wednesday (April 17) morning, he paid tribute to the portrait of Bangabandhu in front of the Bangabandhu Memorial Museum at Dhanmondi No. 32.
After paying respects, Honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina stood in silence for a while, paying deep respect to the memory of Bangabandhu.
Then, on the occasion of the historic Mujibnagar Day, leaders and activists of Awami League’s affiliates and fraternal organizations paid tribute to Bangabandhu’s portrait.
Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader along with the central leaders of the party were present at this time.
Earlier, national and party flags were hoisted at Bangabandhu Bhavan, Awami League central office and all offices of the organization across the country at 6 am on Wednesday (April 17) on the occasion of the historic Mujibnagar Day.
Besides, national and party flags were hoisted at 6 am on Wednesday in Mujibnagar. Tributes will be paid at the memorial at 9:30 am, Guard of Honor at 10:30 am, Mujibnagar Day public meeting will be held at Meherpur at 10 am. Central leaders including Awami League presidium member Kazi Zafar Ullah will participate in it.
