The country’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi has accused the Congress, the oldest in the subcontinent and India’s main opposition party, of being a “murid” of Pakistan. He even claimed that Pakistan is now praying for the victory of Congress leaders. News from Times of India.
Modi’s comments came a day after former Pakistani minister Chaudhry Fawad Hussain shared a video on social media praising Congress leader Rahul Gandhi.
Modi said, ‘Pakistan is crying because Congress is dying here. Pakistani leaders pray for Congress. Pakistan is eager to see ‘Shehzada’ (Rahul Gandhi) as the next Prime Minister. This is not surprising as we already know that Congress is the ‘Murid’ of Pakistan. The partnership between Pakistan and Congress proves that the country’s enemies cannot form a strong government.
Narendra Modi also criticized the Congress party for calling for ‘vote jihad’ by opposition leader Salman Khurshid’s niece Maria Alam during an election rally in Anand, Gujarat. He asserted that this statement came from an educated Muslim family member. But no Congress leader condemned it.
Modi also alleged that the Congress wants to amend the country’s constitution to provide reservation for Muslims. They want to remove benefits from Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes (OBCs).
Will not change the Constitution to provide benefits based on religion; Modi challenged the Congress to put such a statement in writing.
