Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has described US sanctions and the recent attacks on Iran as “unjust and inhumane,” sending a clear message that his country will never bow to the US or any Western power.
The Iranian president held a bilateral meeting with Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on the sidelines of the World Leaders Summit on Biodiversity in Yerevan, Armenia, on Friday (October 16). During the meeting, he expressed strong dissatisfaction with the United States’ strict economic sanctions and policies.
“These US restrictions and sanctions are far from humanitarian frameworks, and their attacks or attacks carried out in recent months are completely unjust and inhumane,” Pezeshkian was quoted as saying by Iran’s semi-official Tasnim News Agency.
Rejecting Western accusations about Iran’s nuclear program, he said Iran was not trying to build any kind of nuclear weapon. He called the destructive propaganda being waged against his country “completely false and fabricated.”
President Masoud Pezeshkian further emphasized that Iran has always been and still is ready to find a solution through negotiations to resolve any crisis. However, if the opponents think that Iran can be forced to surrender by showing force or applying pressure, they are mistaken. Iran will never bow down in the face of coercion or force.
