During her surprise visit to various hospitals and educational institutions in the capital, the Prime Minister also visited her former educational institution, Dhaka Residential Model College. She spoke to the students there and addressed them. During this time, she urged the younger generation to come forward to keep the country clean and green.
The Prime Minister visited Dhaka Residential Model College in Mohammadpur in the capital on Saturday (October 17) afternoon. She visited her former educational institution and spoke to the students and urged them to play an active role in building the country.
Addressing the students, the Prime Minister said that it is not possible for the government alone to make the country clean and livable. For this, everyone has to work together. Young people in particular should keep their homes, educational institutions and surrounding environment clean, and also make others aware.
Referring to the 2024 mass uprising, the Prime Minister said, “You made the 24th movement successful through the mass uprising. Was it done by a single party? Everyone did it together, right?”
He said, “It has already been proven that it is possible to bring about big changes through the united efforts of the youth. However, the responsibility does not end with just agitating. They must also come forward to rebuild the country and build a beautiful Bangladesh.”
Expressing concern over air pollution in Dhaka, the Prime Minister said that the air in the capital is becoming increasingly polluted. As a result, children in particular are facing various health risks. She highlighted the need to plant more trees to address this situation.
Addressing the students, the Prime Minister also said that the government has already taken initiatives to make the country clean and green. But without the active participation of the youth, these initiatives cannot be fully successful.
At the end of the speech, the Prime Minister said, ‘You are the future of tomorrow. I have two requests for you – keep the country clean and plant more trees. This is your country, and it is your responsibility.’
