Honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will visit various areas affected by Cyclone Rimal at Kalapara in Patuakhali today Thursday (May 30).

Honorable Prime Minister’s Deputy Press Secretary MM Imrul Kayes told news agency BASS on Wednesday afternoon that the Prime Minister will leave for Kalapara in Patuakhali by helicopter at 11 am on Thursday.

The district administration is making all-out preparations for the Prime Minister’s visit to Patuakhali.

3 lakh 27 thousand people have been affected by Cyclone Rimal in the district so far. About 235 houses were completely destroyed and 1,865 partially destroyed, sources said.

Sources also said that in this natural calamity, there has been a loss of more than 26 crore rupees in the agriculture sector and 28 crore rupees in the fisheries sector.
