The exact location or circumstances of the attack are not yet known. It is worth noting that at least 263 journalists have been killed in Israeli attacks since October 2023.
On the same day, Israel launched a drone strike on a passenger van in the Tal al-Hawa area, southwest of Gaza City. Witnesses and local sources said six people were killed. Palestinian Red Crescent Society workers took 13 injured people to Al-Quds Hospital. Medical sources said the injured were in critical condition.
Al Jazeera’s Hind Khudari said doctors were struggling to save the wounded. Gaza’s health system has been nearly destroyed by years of attacks and blockades. She feared the death toll could rise.

Earlier, at least one woman was killed in an attack on a residential building near Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza City, the Palestinian news agency Wafa reported. Four people, including two children, were injured in a drone strike on a shelter for displaced people in southern Gaza. Two people were seriously injured in Deir al-Balah in central Gaza, and tank shelling was reported in Khan Younis.
The Gaza Health Ministry said on Wednesday that at least nine bodies had been brought to hospitals in the past 24 hours. Eight of them were killed in the attack and one woman died from previous injuries. The death toll since the start of the so-called ceasefire has risen to at least 1,431. 5,226 people have been injured. 31 people were injured in the past day.
Hind Khudari said, “Despite the ceasefire, the violence by the Israeli forces has not stopped. People are dying and being injured every day. The humanitarian situation is getting worse. People are terrified of going to the supermarket or taking their children to school.”
According to health officials, at least 74,032 people have been killed and 175,142 injured in Israeli attacks on Gaza since October 2023.
An August analysis by the UN Satellite Center found that the number of destroyed structures across Gaza had increased by 9 percent since the ceasefire took effect. According to the UN, about 82 percent of Gaza’s structures were damaged, with about two-thirds of them completely destroyed.
