President Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir released 400 kg of Rui fish fry into the Lion Pond at Bangabhaban on Thursday morning.
In this program organized by the Department of Fisheries and the Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock with the theme ‘Rupali, a self-reliant country in fisheries, Bangladesh first’, the President released 160 kg of Rui, 120 kg of Katla, 80 kg of Mrigel and 40 kg of Kalibaus fish fry.
This information was given in a press release from the President’s Office.
The President’s Military Secretary, Secretary of the Public Affairs Department, Press Secretary, Secretary of the Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock, Director General of the Department of Fisheries, and senior officials of Bangabhaban and the ministry were present at the time.
After the release of the fish fry, the Imam of Bangabhaban Jame Mosque led a prayer, wishing for the progress, prosperity and welfare of the country and the nation.
