A bilateral meeting between Prime Minister Tarique Rahman and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has been held. During the meeting, the top leaders of the two countries expressed their firm determination to further strengthen the existing friendly relations between Bangladesh and Turkey and open up new areas of future cooperation based on mutual interests and common priorities.
The bilateral meeting between Bangladesh Prime Minister Tarique Rahman and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan was held at the Turki House located at 821 United Nations Plaza near the United Nations Headquarters in New York on Tuesday evening (September 22) local time.

The Assistant Press Secretary said that during the meeting, the two leaders exchanged views on various issues of mutual interest with a view to further strengthening and multi-dimensionalizing the historic and friendly relations between Bangladesh and Turkey. At the same time, they discussed the possibilities of further expanding existing cooperation in various fields including economy, trade and investment.
He said that during the meeting, emphasis was placed on continuing close cooperation and coordination between the two countries on various important issues in the regional and international arenas and issues of mutual interest.
The two leaders also expressed their determination to further strengthen the existing friendly relations between Bangladesh and Turkey and open up new areas of future cooperation based on mutual interests and common priorities.
