On the issue of the ongoing quota movement, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said that the issue of quota has gone to the court. I have no right to stand here. The issue of quota should be resolved in quota itself.
He said these things in response to a question from Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at a press conference about her visit to China on Sunday (July 14).
He said, those who are agitating do not obey the law, the court does not obey the law. They don’t know what the constitution is. The agitators have no idea how a government works.
The Prime Minister said, they should know what our constitution says. Now the court has given them a chance. Let them go to court. But they want to collect their demands on the street instead of going to court.
He said, the solution must be through the court. The judgment of the court must be obeyed. And if you don’t mean it, then there is nothing to do. Let them continue to protest on the streets. But can’t do anything destructive.
Sheikh Hasina said, if they want to hurt someone. If they want to attack the neck of the police, the law will take its own course, I have nothing to do here.
The press conference started at 4 pm on Sunday at Ganobhaban, the official residence of the Prime Minister.
