Iran has strongly condemned Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s visit to the United Arab Emirates, while the country’s Foreign Ministry has warned that the Israeli government’s presence in the region could have “extremely dangerous consequences.”

In a statement, Iran’s Foreign Ministry said, “The Islamic Republic of Iran strongly condemns Benjamin Netanyahu’s visit to the United Arab Emirates and warns of the extremely dangerous consequences of the presence of the occupying Israeli government in the region.”

The statement added that West Asia is currently going through one of the most delicate and sensitive times in its history, due to Israel’s military aggression in Iran and the escalating occupation and conflict in Palestine and Lebanon in particular. In such a situation, the presence in the region of a person “with the blood of hundreds of thousands of innocent people on his hands and facing trial in an international court” is extremely dangerous and worrying.

Iran said that all countries in the region should be aware of the potential consequences of such a visit, given the long-standing hostility between Iran and other countries in the region and Israel’s repeated threats against Iran.

Tehran claims that such a presence poses a threat to the peace and security of the entire region. Regional security is a collective and indivisible issue. Any move that allows destabilizing forces to enter the region will ultimately be detrimental to all regional countries. This could lead to further division, insecurity, and instability in West Asia.

For this reason, Iran has called on governments in the region to be aware of their responsibilities. At the same time, Tehran has called on them not to allow their territory to be used for the “destructive presence of the Israeli government” and not to turn it into a platform for destabilizing activities against any regional country.
