All seven SAFF countries are participating in the Women’s SAFF. The draw is held according to the FIFA ranking. Senior Women Saf will be held in Nepal. In the first round were host Nepal and top ranked India Hosts Nepal are in Group B and India are in Group A. Bangladesh was tied with Sri Lanka for the second time. Bangladesh falls in this group The third team in this group is Pakistan. Last time too, Bangladesh was in the group of India and Pakistan. Maldives was also there. This time all three teams in the group of Bangladesh. Bhutan has been drawn in Group B with four teams.

The top two teams from the two groups will play in the semi-finals. As Sabinas are taught in groups of three teams, the path to semis is much easier. The next stage of Bangladesh will be confirmed only if they can beat the relatively weak Pakistan. The tournament will be held in Kathmandu from October 17-30.

The men’s two age-group tournaments were drawn before the senior women’s draw. Bangladesh has been placed in Group A in both Under-17 and Under-20 tournaments. Bangladesh’s other three opponents in the U20 group are Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. India and Maldives in Under-17. The SAFF U-20 tournament will be held in Nepal from August 16-26, while the U-17 tournament will be held in Bhutan from September 18-26.
