Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina visited the capital’s Kurmitola General Hospital to inquire about the physical condition and treatment of those injured in the violence centered around the quota reform movement.
He went to Kurmitola General Hospital at 5.10 pm on Tuesday (July 31).
The Prime Minister inquired about the injured under treatment in the hospital and spoke to them. He gave necessary instructions to the hospital authorities to ensure proper treatment of the injured.
The prime minister was visibly moved after witnessing the suffering of the critically injured and hearing the brutality.
In the last few days, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina visited the National Institute of Traumatology and Orthopedic Rehabilitation-Niter (Pangu Hospital), Dhaka Medical College Hospital, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University Hospital, Central Police Hospital at Rajarbagh and inquired about the injured under treatment. Gave necessary instructions to the concerned to ensure proper treatment of the injured.
Besides, he visited Mirpur No. 10 Metrorail Station, Bangladesh Television Bhawan, Bridge Bhawan, Disaster Management Bhawan, Expressway Toll Plaza affected by the recent conflict in the last few days.
The protesting students and law enforcement forces including police, RAB, BGB and Awami League and its affiliated organizations have been involved in a deadly conflict since July 16, centered on the quota reform movement. Over the next few days, violence and loss of life occurred in various parts of the country.
