Meanwhile, many people could not even buy data packages due to the shutdown of internet services. For this, the operators have announced to give free 5 GB data bonus to the customers. However, even though the mobile internet has been launched, the customers have not yet received the bonus 5 GB internet. Customers are eager to know who and when they will get this bonus internet for free.
After talking to the officials of three mobile operators, after the internet is fully operational, a decision will be made after verifying who is eligible to receive this bonus data. Then eligible customers will be informed through SMS. Immediately their data package will be activated. The data package will be valid for 72 hours or 3 days from the time the package is activated.

Those who will get 5 GB
On July 18, around 9 pm, the internet was shut down across the country. Customers who purchased the data package before that time and expired within 10 days of the internet service shutdown, will only get the bonus 5GB internet.
Moreover, the operators have also said that the customers who have at least 1 to 1 and a half GB of internet left may be selected for giving this bonus. However, the officials of the operator companies said that no official decision has been made yet.
When you get the bonus
Minister of State for Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology Junaid Ahmed Palak said in a briefing at BTRC on Sunday morning that 5 GB of free data will be given to customers after the activation of mobile internet.
However, the operators say that considering the interests of the affected customers, they will also give bonus 5 GB internet data quickly. However, it has not yet been decided when exactly it will be given. When the data package will be given to the person as bonus, he/she will be notified by SMS.

On the other hand, more than 13 crore mobile internet customers of the country were without service for another three days. Considering their difficulties, the government finally launched mobile internet on Sunday, July 28.
