Dr. Asif Nazrul was born on 12 January 1966. He is a professor in the law department of Dhaka University. Apart from this, he is a writer, novelist, political analyst, constitutional expert and columnist.
Before joining Dhaka University as a teacher, Asif Nazrul used to work in Bichitra, a widely circulated weekly newspaper in 1991. He worked for some time as a Government Officer (Magistrate) in the Government of Bangladesh.
He is often seen in various national and international media. Like BBC, CNN and Al Jazeera etc. He has worked as a consultant with various international organizations based on human rights organizations, rule of law, environmental issues, etc., including UNDP, ADB.
