Dr. Offices have been distributed among the 17-member interim government headed by Yunus. Former Bangladesh Bank Governor Saleh Uddin Ahmed has been given the charge of Finance and Planning Ministry.
This information was informed in a notification of the Cabinet Department on Friday (August 9).
The ninth governor of Bangladesh Bank was Dr. Saleh Uddin Ahmed. Dr. He succeeded Fakhruddin Ahmad as the Governor on 1 May 2005. He served in this position till April 30, 2009.
Dr. was born in Srirampur (Darishrirampur) village of Nabinagar upazila of Brahmanbaria district. Saleh Uddin Ahmed. He passed SSC and HSC from Dhaka Collegiate School in 1963 and Dhaka College in 1965 from science department respectively. He passed BA Honors in Economics from Dhaka University in 1968 and MA in the same subject in 1969.
In 1970, he joined Dhaka University as a lecturer in economics. Saleh Uddin Ahmed. Then he joined the Civil Service of Pakistan (CSP) cadre in the then central administration of Pakistan. In 1978, he received his PhD in Economics from McMaster University in Hamilton, Canada.
