Hon’ble President and Hon’ble Prime Minister’s Tribute at the Memorial

On the occasion of Independence Day and National Day, Hon’ble President paid a deep respect to the brave martyrs by laying wreaths at the National Memorial Altar in Savar. Sahabuddin and Honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. At this time, King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck of Bhutan also paid tribute to the martyrs.

They laid wreaths at the memorial altar at 5:56 am on Tuesday (March 26). Then they stood and observed silence for some time. Meanwhile, the bugle sounded a pitiful tune. A smart contingent of the armed forces gave them a guard of honour.

Later, as Awami League president, Sheikh Hasina paid tribute to the top leaders of the party by laying flowers at the national memorial for the second time.

After paying tribute, Hon’ble President, Hon’ble Prime Minister and King of Bhutan signed the Visitation Book. The memorial was attended by Queen Jetsun Pema of Bhutan among others  .

After paying tributes to the Honorable President, Honorable Prime Minister and King of Bhutan, leaders of Awami League and its various affiliated organizations paid tribute to the martyrs of the great liberation war.

After the Hon’ble President and Hon’ble Prime Minister left the memorial area, the National Memorial was thrown open for people from all walks of life to pay their respects to the martyrs.

At this time, people from different walks of life including various political, social and cultural organizations, various forces and organizations, various ministries, educational institutions paid their respects at the National Memorial.
