Seven more people have died in the country with measles symptoms in the last 24 hours. However, there have been no confirmed measles deaths during this period. So far this year, 1,09 people have died from measles and measles symptoms. Of these, 100 have died from confirmed measles and 909 have died with symptoms.
This information was announced in a notification by the Directorate General of Health Services on Thursday (September 10).
It said that in the last 24 hours, 3 people have died in Dhaka division with measles symptoms and one each in Sylhet, Rajshahi, Chittagong and Khulna divisions.
At the same time, 29 people were diagnosed with measles. This brings the total number of measles cases this year to 19,933.
And in the last 24 hours, 1,165 suspected measles patients have been identified. With this, 168,745 people have shown symptoms of measles this year.
