Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani in a meeting with the Honorable Prime Minister.

Own Correspondent: Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani sat in a bilateral meeting with him at the Prime Minister’s office. He sat in a meeting with Hon’ble Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at Shimul Hall on Tuesday (April 23) at 10:30.

Earlier, the Emir of Qatar came to the Prime Minister’s office after 10 am. At that time honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina welcomed him with flowers. After the formalities, six agreements and five memorandums of understanding (MOUs) will be signed between the two countries later in the visit.

The agreements are on avoidance of double taxation and tax evasion, cooperation in legal matters, maritime transport, development and protection of mutual investments, transfer of convicts and establishment of a joint trade council. Apart from this, five Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) are also expected to be signed, including cooperation in manpower, higher education and scientific research and diplomatic training.

Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani arrived in Dhaka on a two-day official visit on Monday at the special invitation of Honorable President Sahabuddin and Honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. Honorable President Sahabuddin welcomed the Emir of Qatar at the airport at 5 pm.
