Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said that the nation has witnessed the brutality of militancy in the guise of anti-quota movement. The Prime Minister reiterated his pledge that militancy and terrorism will have no place in Bangladesh. He again asked the United Nations and other countries to cooperate with their expertise in investigating each incident during the nationwide rampage. The Prime Minister said these things while addressing the chief guest at the Voluntary Blood Donation Program, Discussion and Doa Mahfil at Krishibid Institution in Farmgate area of the capital on Thursday. The Bangladesh Farmers League organized this program in view of the National Mourning Day on August 15.

Awami League president Sheikh Hasina has warned the countrymen that Jamaat and Shibir will go underground and continue their destructive activities after being banned. He said, everyone should be careful in this regard and I seek the cooperation of the countrymen.

The Prime Minister said that he knows that the attempt on his life may come again like the previous incidents. But, he says, I don’t care. God gave life and He will also take it away. I will do whatever is necessary for the welfare of the people. Referring to the loss of lives and destruction of government property in the recent violence, he said, the militants have shown their violent teeth under the guise of the quota movement. The Prime Minister said that he knows the pain of losing his near and dear ones on August 15, 1975. “So, I want an investigation into every single thing (the murder). Who is behind it, how and what happened.’

Awami League Advisory Council Member Advocate Yusuf Hossain Humayun, Agriculture and Cooperative Affairs Secretary Faridur Nahar Laili and others spoke at the event. General Secretary Umme Kulsoom Smriti presided over the program under the chairmanship of Samir Chand, President of Bangladesh Farmers League.

At the beginning of the program, 1 minute silence was observed to pay deep respect to the martyrs of August 15, 1975. At the end of the ceremony, Milad and Doa Mahfil were held to seek forgiveness for the departed souls of the martyrs of August 15, 1975 and those killed in the recent violence.

Referring to the attack by the government agencies on the students and teachers who were protesting against Israel’s aggression in Gaza recently, the Prime Minister said that his government did not follow the same path as in America, where teachers were killed, handcuffed and handcuffed on the streets and suppressed the movement. Did not apply force. Instead, they accepted their demands. The Prime Minister said that lies and misinformation are being spread across the country. I will take people’s lives from power, that can never happen. I myself lost everything and there were repeated attempts to kill me by grenade attack, bomb attack and direct firing and Allah saved me. Still I worked with courage. I didn’t get scared, I didn’t back down. Because my goal is to improve the quality of life of the people of this country, I have to do that work.

The Prime Minister said, in the television address on 17th, I told the teachers and parents that your children’s lives are at risk, you should not let the children go out. Because I know how far militants or terrorist groups can go in this country. I warned them that the students should not be disappointed by the judgment of the Appellate Division. What they demand will come. Because everyone has to follow the court and the law. Even so, who is responsible for the loss of so many lives in Bangladesh today? If a thing is lost, it can be rebuilt, but if life is lost, it cannot be recovered.
